Meet the Moms/Writers
Nicole Kelly
Nicole has spent the last 13 years parenting five (occasionally six) children. She has worked many menial jobs and has many skills in customer service but is currently staying at home with her children in suburban America. The list of accomplishments aren’t nearly as long as her counterpart but she still has taken on an active role in Momsnotkidding.
Nicole’s navigating the ever changing world around her armed with love and respect for other people. Live and let live. She has recently moved from the Cincinnati area to the Nashville area for an incredible work opportunity for her husband, Nathan. Together they have The Teenager, Babou, Ethel, Honey Badger, and The Baby. (Pseudonyms will be used until the children give full consent to have their names used in an identifying manner.) Nicole has enrolled in college and is still searching for her life’s passion outside of her family. Her hobbies include reading, writing, and she enjoys total silence. The beach is her happy place, summer is her favorite season, and she sits on the Aries/ Taurus cusp. She is currently living with a new ADHD diagnosis, as well as ongoing treatment for PTSD and clinical depression. |
Felicia Warden
Felicia is a school librarian in Tennessee where she is raising her two young girls to be strong and compassionate by teaching them to find beauty in what is different. She is the author of both nonfiction women’s issue books and the children's picture book series The Very Literary Adventures of Remi and Rori. She is currently working on her first young adult fiction novel Kindling. She recently graduated with her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing through Southern New Hampshire University during the summer of 2020.
Felicia believes all people should be treated as the human beings that they are which means respecting them enough to make their own choices about their bodies. She uses her writing to draw attention to and provide commentary on mainstream political issues and hopes one day we can all just drink a beer (or sparkling grape juice) together and live in peace. Felicia struggles with ADHD and OCD, and though she knows her mind is a contradiction she is learning to accept it. |
